Here in Cleveland the town is a buzz with the preseason football game that’s happening this Saturday.  My husband is not a sports fan nor am I, but I know there are a lot of women out there about to lose their spouses to the man caves and the neighbor wing joints.  Don’t despair!  Come February it will all be over.  Even though I can’t relate, here are some activities you can do while your husband is mesmerized by the glow of the HD LCD for the next few months:

• Start (or finish) those lingering household projects you’ve been putting off.  Psst - maybe he’ll be too engrossed in the game to notice you’ve repainted the bathroom - again!
• Make a standing Girl’s Night in or out on Monday night’s.
• Take up a new hobby.
• *gasp* Try to get interested in the game.  I know there are lots of women out there who love sports and that’s great.  I’ve tried, I don’t care for them but if you haven’t given it a go, see what you think!
• Read, read, read!

And hey, it’s a great excuse not to cook!  What goes better with football than takeout?
