Did Farrah Fawcett Marry Ryan O’Neal Before She Died?
The news of Farrah Fawcett’s death was quickly overshadowed by that of the sudden death of Michael Jackson*. But when I heard of her death, I was quick to get the answer to the question of whether or not she and Ryan O’Neal married she passed. The answer is no, sadly. I wondered why they decided to marry now after all these years. Could it be a couple who denounced marriage finally saw that what they had and were together WAS marriage in all sense of the word, but it was time to publicly announce it to the world? Was it death that made them see how important their life was together?
It saddens me that they couldn’t make it happen before she died. Marriage wouldn’t have changed the way they felt about one another; but anyone who is married and truly committed to the marriage will tell you there is something magical about your relationship, a glimmer, that you just can’t explain. It’s silly, I know. I like to think they wanted to feel that magic, if even for a few days.
Farrah was loved by Ryan as much as any woman who’s had a husband for 25 years.
*I don’t want to be yet another person to talk about Michael Jackson, but I find it odd that a man who has been vilified for 20 years because of his alleged despicable acts on young boys is now looked at as a some sort of artist hero. There’s no reason in the world to mourn the loss of someone who was not once, but twice in the courts for his behavior. Corey Feldman even said looking back that Michael’s behavior wasn’t that of a grown man. You can believe what you will, but I feel the need to say the only thing lost was a man who felt that because his childhood he was justified in his actions. I feel for his family and his children, but I cannot celebrate the life of the man.

So sad.
Really heartbreaking.
RIP Farrah. Never overshadowed in our hearts: http://tinyurl.com/FarrahFawcettGallery
