Dustin’ Off the Wii
We haven’t been using our Wii much at all since we moved into the new house but when I heard about the new EA Sport Active game, I had to have it. This is the Wii Fit on steriods! My biggest complaint about the Wii Fit was that you couldn’t program a workout to keep your heart rate up. With EA Sports Active, we can set out workout time and decide what parts of the body we want to concentrate on!
The best part - the co-op mode is fantastic. We can play tennis, baseball, shot hoops, run (hate it), inline skate and do one of many muscle isolation exercises. It’s a little competitive, but I’m usually so worried about how I’m doing that I don’t even look on his half of the screen! Biggest complaint? The leg band stinks.
It doesn’t register all the time making some of the exercises extreme difficult and frustrating. We’ve found ways around it for some of the exercises others are still giving me fits. I think it’s a height thing (I’m kind of short). But even with these issues EA Sports Active is another way to spend time together that involves physical activity and not just lounging on the couch.
There’s even a thirty-day challenge I can’t wait to try because the reviews by people have been great!
