Must Love Cats
I was sitting on my couch trying desperately to relax from the day with a little American Idol, I am being forever pestered by one of my cats. Before you call me a Crazy Cat Lady, I only have two. I think I am at least 2 cats away from one of those people you try not to make eye contact with at the pet store.
Before my husband, it was just me and the kitties. Mr. Diva was thrilled with the prospect of having cats. Let alone cats IN the house. But now, years later, the kitty pictured in this post and he have the bestest relationship a man and a cat can have. That orange and white cat follows him around and really could care less about me. Ungrateful little louse (the cat, not the husband).
My animals are VERY important to me and my husband understood this. It took a little time, but even he says he likes having them around. Like everything in a marriage, animals can cause tension. If one spouse has allergies or a general dislike, it might force the other spouse to give up something he or she loves.
Sure, it’s only an animal to some people but it’s a big deal to others. Did you have to curb your animal frenzy when you met your spouse or did you have to find a place in your heart for a 4 legged creature (or heaven forbid a SCALY creature) that you didn’t really want to?

Hello, Heather. While in the midst of compiling sources for a Large Research Essay assignment for my Rhetoric & Research class at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota (northcentral.edu) (where I am presently an “Evangelism & Church Planting” Major,) I ran acrossed your “Must Love Cats” blog entry. My wife, Courtney and I, have been married for just a little over six and a half years. Although my wife has Asthma and cat allergies, in just the last couple of years, we thought that it would be really neat to practice being parents, by adopting cats. At present, we are proud “parents” of two, Male, American Shorthair Tabby cats, Isaiah & Micah. Just recently, we had to rush Isaiah to our Vetrinarian, who told us upon Intake, that apparently, he had gone into Kidney Failure, after throwing up repeatedly for a couple of weeks in a row, and then becoming quite frail after not eating for 4-5 days straight. Our Vetrinarian also told us that apparently, he was so dehydrated, that they had to put Isaiah on a fluids IV. After being under care and observation this last weekend, my wife and I are supposed to be given a prognosis by our Vetrinarian some time tomorrow (which can’t come soon enough.) Could you possibly stand with us, and believe with us for a God-sized, miraculous intervention?
