I would post a picture of my new disaster of a home, but I can’t find the cord for my small camera.  Then I thought I would use my good camera so you could REALLY see the mass distruction.  Well, whatever box the cord for the small camera is in is the same box the memory card for the good camera is in.  So no pictures for you at this point.

Moving was, well, it was moving.  It was a long 4 days and yes, you get what you pay for when you hire movers.  As this blog as my witness, I will hire full service movers the next time so Mr. Diva and I can spend more time on arranging, decorating and general home project work.  I will say that we got through 4 days without a single cross word or irritation (with each other, that is).  How did that happen?  We went with our strengths.

I am not a work horse, but I can organize the hell out of a room.  I methodically carried what I could and when it got to be overwhelming, I would start unpacking or at the very least arranging the boxes in the appropriate rooms.  Mr Diva, on the other hand, has the brute strength of 10 men.  Ok, not 10, but he is very strong (My Hero!).

So we made a plan of attack, established our indvidual strengths and weaknesses and got our jobs done.  The next time you are trying to accomplish a task in your marriage, take time to figure out how can you contribute rather than how your partner could do better.  It all comes out in the wash, so to speak. Focus on your strengths and step up where you can.  Being aware of yourself is an important part of a marriage.
