We both compromised things, but in the end, the house is beautiful! My husband did the renovations and even did a lot of the styling. I never knew my existing tastes were so bad until we put our heads together and got a newly renovated, modern, and stylishly decorated house! Too bad, we won't get to enjoy it for long as we will be putting our house on the rental market soon! I already had the house when we got married in ‘07, but my husband and I had to decide on what to renovate and how to decorate once finished. But with new construction prices through the roof, I had to settle on a 20-year-old house, which means renovating and updating. We've spent the past two years modernizing our space...and we're still not done! Our house is 85 years old. We have one outlet in each bedroom, one in the dining room, and a few in the living room. None in the upstairs hallway. :) Obviously, we survive, but I'm thinking updated electric has to move up the house priority list. :P So happy for you to have found a place and excited for you to be settling into your new home. :) Never underestimate the value of updated electricity!!!!
