Having recently been through a few years of kids' birthday parties I can say that the party favor is alive and well in that area too. Along with many other moms I know, I've decided that the best kinds of party favors are those that will be a lasting memento of the event. Thus, a photograph, frame or small personalized item makes a lovely wedding favor. As for kids, a small book, cup or even hula hoop or tie dyed tee shirt makes a much better favor than plastic junk that breaks in the car on the way home.

I like the bookmark idea! It's simple, looks good on a table and people can actually use it. And the cookbook idea - that's a great way to bring your wedding guests together too!

I've never seen the tea bag favors before. Very classy. We went with bookmarks that had an Emerson quote and then our names and the date. We had a ton, and it's fun to see my kids using some of the leftovers now. Some friends of ours had people send in recipes with their R.S.V.P.s, then compiled a cookbook for favors for the guests. I use that cookbook so often!!!
