Silda Spitzer Daydreams of Spontaneous Combustion
Ever have that dream that you’re standing in front of an audience in your underwear? Well, Silda Spitzer just did one better by appearing with her husband as he admitted to spending thousands on prostitutes and later resigning his post as governor. She’s not the first politician’s wife to have to stand in front of the press while her husband disingenuously apologized for his lapse in moral fiber. Granted he had an $80,000-10 year lapse in judgment, but that’s neither here nor there.
I give the woman mad props for standing up there next to him. Some people might say it’s because she has a lot to gain financially from that sleazebag her husband. But I choose to think that she did it to save face for her own dignity and for the dignity of her three daughters. I also applaud her for not looking like a Stepford wife with a robotic plastic smile that screams “This is what they taught us in finishing school to do in this situation”. If her glare were any colder, Eliot would have gotten frost bite!
As Silda Spitzer stood there here are some of the possible things she wished would happen. I am by no means a Photoshop genius, here goes!
