Hilary Clinton is the inspiration for this post. This week while campaigning in New Hampshire a question moved Hillary to “tears”. These “tears” have been credited in helping Ms. Clinton win the primary in the Granite State. I won’ t get overly political, this is a marriage blog, but I think my use of quotes gives you an indication of my feelings on her little display of “emotion”.
It got me thinking. Children use tears to get what they want. It works for some kids and not so much for others. I wonder if there are wives out there that play the weak, fragile woman card to get help something from their spouse. We all know that there are women who use sex as a weapon or a job aide but I wonder if women may play the crying card as a weapon.
I couldn’t do, but that’s because I’m like a human tear factory. I cry about EVERYTHING. I don’t think a more than a couple days passes between my tear duct workout. And I would guess you need to choice your meltdown carefully so they always packed a wallop.
I’m confident that most wives don’t pull such silly tactics and I’m SURE husbands don’t. Can you imagine if you’re husband wanted a new cordless drill and he started crying? Not attractive and pretty unbelievable. Almost as unbelievable as a presidential candidate crying. Ooops….
