Marriage Resolutions

Posted by Heather on January 1st, 2008

Happy New Year Everyone! I’m not one for resolutions, but here’s a few I think I’ll give a go regarding my marriage.

  • Always say thank you. If he does something nice for me, I’m going to let him know I appreciate it.
  • Watch more of the History Channel when there’s nothing on. I currently avoid things like “The History of the Gun” because it’s SOOOOOO boring. But he likes it. So less HGTV and More History channel on lazy Sundays.
  • I will try to remember to put the kitchen sprayer back in its proper place. I never get it in the holder all the way and it drives him nuts.
  • I will make him at least one cheesecake this year and not complain about how long it took to make.

Ok, so they aren’t resolutions really, but I want to declare 2008 the Year of the Happy Marriage and I’m going to make sure I think of ways to make it a success!

My husband would also greatly appreciate a More History Channel resolution. He was a history major and we have a small library consisting entirely of all his history books, so naturally the History Channel is his favorite. Hmmm…CSI or The History of the Razor (I kid you not)? He’s lucky I love him so much.

Oh you poor thing! Serious when I saw History of the Razor it was like my whole life flashed before my eyes. How could anyone make anything so boring!!! You are a good woman!

Happy marriage in 2008! YAY!

I’m also going to put forth the effort to say “thank you” more. I have to say, my husband always says thank you, even for little things that I do on a daily basis. I’ll also try to watch more Science TV with him. I’m not into some of the shows, but it’s his favorite pastime.
