He had me show him dozens of pics of rings that I liked and had me point out what I didn't like. Then he took all that to a jewelry designer and started from scratch. There is no way I could ever trade in my ring! Even now when we're in a jewelry store and just browsing, and diamonds are shining all around, none of them look half as gorgeous as mine because none of them have all the things I wanted in a ring. Not that I wouldn't love some big old bling, I would never ever EVER take off the ring I wore when we married, when we honeymooned in Jamaica, when we climbed mountains in Mexico, when our son was born, when we celebrated our first anniv in Chicago, on our daughter's first day of kindergarten. This ring has been a constant in all the best parts of my life, and it's not going anywhere. Right.
