Husbands are Pretty too
My husband isn’t a primper, but he does care about what he looks like when he leaves the house. I mean, he “fixes” his hair by doing this peculiar finger wiggling thing. He trims his beard and YES, I like the beard. He even wears cologne. Now, it’s not like he’s plunking, waxing and shaving weird things but it’s a good balance of grooming & manliness
.
So everyday he leave the house - clean, perfectly finger wiggled hair and smelling good. But how often do I notice? I realize that I take this man’s grooming habits for granted! I know some women who are lucky if their husbands wash their hands after changing the oil. But overall, I think most men do take notice of their appearance. It’s the women in their life that sometimes fail to recognize.
So the other day, as my husband gathered his stuff for work, I looked at him and said “You look really nice and you smell good too.” I saw his shoulders go back a little more and he stood a little taller. Not wanting to make a big deal about it, he smiled at me and said thanks. Of course, he couldn’t return the compliment because I was standing there in mismatch pj’s but he leaned down and kissed the top of my head. I like to think I sent him out the door with a little boost of confidence and his day started off on the right foot.
Think about it Ladies, we like to be told we look good. That we’re attractive to our men. And sometimes we forget they can use the same.

My husband is a hottie, but yes, I do forget to tell him… Ps- have you been hanging out at my house?: “he couldn’t return the compliment because I was standing there in mismatch pj’s”
